JREC's wholesale internet provider, NRTC, will be discontinuing its Viasat satellite internet reseller program on July 31, 2026. All JREC subscribers will need to have changed their billing, support, and ongoing service to Viasat themselves or to another provider by this date. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
STEPS TO TAKE TO SWITCH INTERNET PROVIDERS:
1.) Switch directly to Viasat by submitting your request today. SUBMIT REQUEST
2.) Call Viasat at 888-817-8902.
3.) Switch to a local broadband provider.
4.) Explore alternatives like Starlink, 5G home internet (AT&T or Verizon), or fixed wireless.
5.) Email services will also be discontinued as of July 31, 2026.

**UNLEASHED: Speeds are “up to” and are not guaranteed and will vary based on where you live. If your data usage is trending to exceed the “typical usage” of a residential user on our network, you may have reduced priority during times of network congestion resulting in slower speeds. Typical usage currently means trending to not exceed 850 GBs in any 30-day period. The typical usage amount will vary based on network demands. Subscribers will need to add an external router to receive speeds greater than 50 Mbps.
All packages sold prior to 4/1/2024 are being discontinued. Existing subscribers will continue to be enrolled in these packages and will not see a change to their service. Please refer to the 'Viasat Package Options' tab for current packages.

Maintenance / Service Plan available for $6.99/mo.
Jump River Electric Cooperative (JREC) is making available to its subscribers a Maintenance, Repair and Service Agreement to provide coverage for repair or replacement of your Viasat *covered equipment for the term of this agreement, should it fail to operate under normal use and in the manner for which it was designed. This Agreement provides coverage for each piece of *covered equipment and becomes effective 91 days after the enrollment date or installation date, whichever is greater; and expires when cancelled by either the subscriber or JREC. This Agreement does not provide for normal maintenance, routine cleanings, tune-ups, check-ups, storage or repairs to correct normal gradual reduction of operating.
*Covered Equipment is 1 Satellite Modem with power supply, 1 TRIA (receiver & feed assembly), and 1 Dish Antenna.
The Viasat equipment warranty is 12 months from the date of service activation. Service call fees will be $95.00 plus tax. The equipment replacement costs are listed below:
- TRIA - $185-$290 - MODEM - $150 - SATELLITE ANTENA - $75
